About the Business
With no formal training in the shoe making trade except a few evening classes at London College of Fashion, Kat Maconie and her brand of design driven yet versatile shoes have come a long way since 2009 when she started with a small range of ballerinas designed in a tiny West London studio.
In the years that followed Kat has developed and expanded her range and her signature gold hard wear details, block heels and strong prints can now be seen on the likes of Keira Knightley and Jessie J and in magazines such as Vogue and Elle to name a few. Currently sold in over 18 countries as well as the leading department stores in the UK, Kat has gone from strength to strength, an achievement that Draper's recognised by naming her their shoe designer of the year 2013.
With plans to launch a handbag and accessories line in the near future and to broaden her presence in Asia and the USA, Kat Maconie is set for world domination.
